Morning Drop-off Reminders
We have noticed a recent uptick in tardies and wanted to share a friendly arrival tip: pulling into the driveway by 8:10 a.m. is the best way to ensure your scholar has plenty of time to unpack, get settled, and avoid being marked tardy.
| • | Recommended Arrival: Aim to turn into the driveway around 8:10 a.m. so your student makes it to class on time.
| • | Tardy Cutoff: Students arriving at or after 8:29 a.m. are marked tardy.
| • | Gravel Lot Walk-Up: Looking for a few extra moments together in the morning? You are always welcome to park in the lower gravel lot and walk your child up to school!

Counseling Corner
| | As we highlighted earlier this month, October is National Bullying Prevention Month. This week, we are focusing on how to continue conversations about bullying and what it means to be an upstander.
| Navigating conversations about bullying can feel intimidating, but open communication is key. Creating a safe space at home builds your child’s sense of security and makes them far more likely to reach out if something happens. If you'd like to dive deeper, explore these helpful resources:
Children have a tremendous impact on their school culture when they know how to step in safely and constructively as upstanders—people who actively step in to support others. Together, we can build a community where every child feels safe, seen, and valued.
| • | Older Scholars & Families: Check out How to Be an Upstander to learn how to speak up, de-escalate tough situations, and support peers with confidence instead of watching from the sidelines.
| • | Younger Scholars: Keep the message simple: kindness spreads! Including others, offering an encouraging word, or inviting a friend to play creates a positive ripple effect across our school. There are also some great resources on being an upstander from the Sesame Workshop.
Thank you for continuing these important conversations at home and doing your part to keep our community safe, inclusive, and kind! 💚

Events & Community
| | Coat Swap and Community Night
| Join us for our first-ever Harvest Souper Swap on Tuesday, November 10th from 5-6:30 pm! A community event where families can shop for gently used donated coats and winter gear. We’ll also have Thanksgiving-themed crafts and soup and grilled cheese.
| If you have a coat that no longer fits your growing scholar and would like to donate it to the event, please drop it off at the front desk over the next couple of weeks or bring it directly to the swap. We are also looking for tomato soup and grilled cheese supplies donations. Thank you in advance!
