Selma has been teaching Kindergarten since 2015 and is a Certified Academic Language Practitioner and ALTA (Academic Language Therapy Association) member. She has primarily spent her career teaching in WNC, but has had the opportunity to teach in the Caribbean. Selma values building relationships with her students and their families, as it reinforces a stronger classroom culture and community. Selma's favorite time of the school year is Spring Exhibition Nights, where the kindergarten classrooms are transformed into complete towns with students playing civil workers.
