Sarah Slaymaker

Sarah Slaymaker grew up in Pittsburgh, PA, and moved around the East before settling in Asheville in 2018. She has a Bachelor’s in Outdoor Leadership from Warren Wilson College, and a background teaching outdoor education and adaptive adventure programming. She has worked at Evergreen since the 2023-24 school year and stepped into her current role in 2025. You may also see her at the climbing wall after school or in the summer!

In her free time she loves to grow fresh vegetables in her garden, swim laps, read (and write!), cook dishes from around the world, watch films, and take advantage of all the hiking, backpacking, swimming, and boating our beautiful WNC has to offer!
