Michaela graduated from Wake Forest with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. After a few years as a 4th-grade teacher, her former admin team encouraged her to pursue a certificate in AIG education, which she completed through UNC-Charlotte. She is embarking on her 15th year in education and strives to make a setting where students can convince themselves of their own brilliance. Outside of the classroom, Michaela enjoys reading, puzzles, and spending time with her family.
