Laura obtained a degree in Psychology from UNCW before going to ECU to complete her Masters in Social Work, Mental Health. After working as a counselor for 14 years, Laura returned to UNCW to complete her teaching license in Special Education. Laura prides herself on creating a calm learning environment; there are few distractions, reduced fluorescent lighting, and even a couple of bean bag chairs for students to use. Laura’s favorite things about Evergreen are the on-campus ropes course, climbing wall, and ropes course.
