Julie has been a professional educator since 1994, and during the course of her career, has taught all grades, pre-K through 12th. She has served as a General Education Lead Teacher specializing in inclusion practices, curriculum and instruction/literacy specialist, Orton-Gillingham tutor, AIG teacher, and high school speech and debate coach before moving permanently into special education, which is her passion. 

Julie believes every student has a strength. She prides herself on fostering collaboration among teachers, staff, and parents to support students in their individual growth.

Outside of school, Julie enjoys spending time with her husband, adult daughters, dog, and cat. She is also an avid gardener and a home improvement weekend warrior.
