Ethan graduated from the University of Ohio and then moved south to work for the North Carolina Outward Bound School. He worked as both a Lead Instructor and Climbing Specialist year-round. Ethan came to Evergreen in 2021 after leading the 8th-grade end-of-year trip when he was a guide at OB; he remembers being impressed by how close and supportive the Evergreen students and staff were on the expedition. Ethan continues to pursue adventure outside the classroom by playing Spikeball, biking, and rock climbing.
