Annual Fund Report - Good News and Gratitude
We are SO CLOSE to meeting Evergreen’s Annual Fund Goal! Thank you to everyone who has given or shared the Fund this year. Thank you to everyone who set up new, increased, or maintained their recurring donations!
We did the math for the balance needed and if every family gave $20 today, we’d hit that budgeted goal!
Give today before we all get caught up in the whirlwind that is May! www.givebutter.com/evergreenvillage
Let’s finish this group project that we all started together, the group project that is the 2025-2026 school year!
We all have a lot to be proud of this year. Maintaining normalcy for our students while many of us are still getting grounded after last year’s event, is no small feat. I hope that as you celebrate moving up and graduation ceremonies this year you are also taking time to celebrate yourselves, your families, and the various villages (including the village you’ve found here) that have helped see you through.
Let Them Know You’re Proud & help support the School!
You can also help make a dent in that $6K we still need to raise and get something (besides a wholistically educated amazing kiddo) in return!
Buy a Graduation/Moving Up Card from our fundraiser and we will be put 100% of the proceeds toward the Annual Fund!
https://givebutter.com/gradgreetings2026
New designs this year, plus the Quotation Cards come with a brief bio of their author on the back of the card!
Cards are sold by donation on a Sliding Scale, with a suggested donation of $5-20/card.
After you’ve selected your card/s you will have the opportunity to personalize the card with your own message. Your message will be hand written inside and delivered to classrooms!
This is a great fundraiser to share with extended family as a way for them to be involved in your student’s milestones, even from afar!

Mental Health Awareness Week
Happy Mental Health Awareness Week from your friendly neighborhood Counselors! We will be highlighting a different wellness tool for supporting mental health each day this week and invite families to continue these conversations and exercises at home! You can also check out Mental Health America’s 31 More Good Days Calendar for more ideas to support mental health. And, don’t forget to wear green on Wednesday 05/13 to show your support for Mental Health Awareness!
As Mental Health Awareness Month continues, we want to keep the conversation going by expanding on this year’s theme: “More Good Days Together.” 💚
At Evergreen, we know that “good days” don’t necessarily mean perfect days. Good days can simply mean feeling connected, supported, understood, or having the tools to work through hard moments together. This Mental Health Month, we invite you to reflect on what a “good day” means to you and ways you can manifest more good days for you and your family!
Even small moments of connection can make a big difference for children and families. Consistent, everyday check-ins with your children are a great way to build that connection. Whether it’s talking during a car ride, sharing a meal, taking a walk, or winding down before bed, these small conversations help children feel safe sharing both the good and the hard parts of their day.
Here are a few simple ways to encourage “more good days together” at home:
Ask open-ended questions like: “What was the best part of your day?” or “Was anything challenging today?”
Help children name and normalize emotions (“It’s okay to feel nervous/frustrated/sad sometimes”). Remember: You have to name it, to tame it!
Build in small moments of downtime and/or connection during busy weeks - even 5-10 minutes to decompress or listen/share can make a difference!
Model self-care and healthy coping strategies as adults - And perhaps equally as important is acknowledging when we don’t handle a situation the way we would like! Nobody is perfect and parents have big, valid feelings too! Kids are always watching and looking to their trusted adults for guidance. Allowing them to see us make healthy coping choices is great, but so is allowing them to see us make a mistake, take responsibility, reflect on what could be done differently, and make necessary repairs!
Celebrate effort, resilience, kindness, and progress — not just achievements.
Mental health support doesn’t have to be complicated. Often, it starts with feeling seen, heard, and supported by the people around us.
We also encourage families to continue exploring the Mental Health Awareness Month resources shared last week, including articles and family activities from Mental Health America’s Action Guide. Together, we can help reduce stigma, build emotional wellness, and create more good days for everyone in our community. 💚
