5:30pm - Gym open for Merch Sales
5:45-6:00pm- Arrival/ Parking and Make your way to the Gym

*(1st grade remains in the gym for performances!)
6:00pm- Program in the Gym
6:30-7:30pm - Parents and students in Classrooms
Upon arrival please make your way to the gym. Give yourself plenty of time to park and walk, or possibly shuttle in. Everyone will gather in the gym with students going off to their classrooms to prepare at 5:50pm. If you arrive after that, please send your student directly to their classroom.
After you spend time celebrating your student’s work, feel free to roam through other classrooms, meet other teachers, and get a glimpse of the kinds of projects your student will be doing as they grow. Or stop by to say hello in former classrooms!

Support the School with a Monthly Donation
Whether you give $2 or $20 per month, each gift helps our school move from surviving to thriving. To meet our annual goal of $100,000 we need our village to show up, whether that is a one time gift, or a sustaining monthly donation, your contribution matters.
Setting up your monthly donation is so easy, please consider starting yours today at givebutter.com/evergreenvillage!
In case you weren’t able to make it to Fall Family Nights, here is the video we showed for this year’s Annual Fund Kick-off! As you can see above, we have raised almost $2,000 more than what we specified in the video!

Bullying Prevention Month, continued
As we mentioned in last week’s Scoop, October is National Bullying Prevention Month. As parents and caregivers, we encourage you to continue having conversations at home about what bullying is (and isn’t), and- perhaps even more importantly- about kindness, inclusion, and standing up for others.
This week, we’re focusing on what it means to be an upstander and how each of us can help create a community where everyone feels safe, seen, and valued.
Be an Upstander, Not a Bystander
Kids have a tremendous impact on their school community. When they know what to do, they’re more prepared to step in and help in safe, age-appropriate ways.
Reading “Bystander to Bullying” is a great way for older students (and families) to learn how to speak up, show support, and de-escalate tough situations with confidence.
For younger students, keep the message simple: kindness spreads! Including others, offering a helping hand, or sharing an encouraging word helps everyone feel welcome. Even small acts like a smile, an invitation to play, or a kind word can create a ripple effect that inspires others to do the same.

Halloween Parade
Each year Evergreen holds a Halloween Parade! Students wear or bring their costumes (Check classroom newsletters for guidance from your grade level/s!) and a schoolwide parade of costumes is held on the field. Parents are welcome to attend, it’s more fun with an audience!
Friday, October 31st @ 2pm
When selecting a costume please be mindful that we have a variety of ages at the school, costumes must be appropriate for our younger friends. Our standard golden rule of costumes is: “No Blood, No Gore, No Weapons of War.”
We would also like to remind our community that cultural icons are costumes, a depiction of a whole culture based on stereotypes is not. For more watch, “My Culture is not a Costume”.
Costume Swap
Please bring gently used costumes and costume elements to the front office for families to ‘shop’. You do not need to bring an item to ‘shop’ the swap. All items given and taken freely.
