Evergreen Food Pantry
SNAP benefits are going to be massively delayed for many families in our community, we also have members in our community who have recently been furloughed from work. In response, we are setting up a temporary food pantry in the front office. Items will be available during office hours. We will provide these services as long as they are needed.
If you would like to shop at the pantry, it is open to anyone, no questions asked. Just come to the front office during office hours. *If you cannot come to the school, we are happy to make a bag of groceries for you and send it home with your student. Simply email Kelly if you'd like for us to pack a bag for you.
We also have some grocery store gift cards available. Click here if you would like a grocery gift card, and we will arrange for pick up.

Traffic Reminders
Adults should not exit the car during morning traffic line. Please allow staff to assist your child out of the car on the passenger side. If your car is set up such that they cannot exit the passenger side- or their needs exceed what we can handle in the traffic line- then the car needs to be parked. Then the accompanying adult can escort that child up to the crosswalks/door.
As you head up the drive, please verbally ready your child to exit the vehicle, encouraging them to transition from devices or breakfast, to gathering their belongings so that when the car comes to a stop, they are ready to jump out.
If you plan to park and do not want help,
give us a Thumbs Up!If your child needs extra help and no one is headed your way yet, please roll down your passenger window.
Please pull all the way up to maximize the number of cars we can get into the lot. We really want to try to keep traffic flowing!

City of Asheville sponsors a Holiday Free Store
What is a free store? The holiday free store is an event open to the community where all items are given away at no cost. It is community-based and environmentally focused! This year's free store pop-up is a 3-day event: 2 days of accepting and sorting donations and 1 day of shopping and cleaning up.
Why have a holiday free store?
- Sharing what we have in abundance
- Coming together to build community resilience
- Reduce dependency on a system that often overuses resources
- Extending the life of items by keeping them out of the waste stream
- Lightening the financial burden for someone who may need or want an item
- Upcycle items for others for home use or gifting!
Who: This event is open to everyone. We need volunteers to help make it happen! Please spread the word, and sign up for a volunteer shift here. You are also welcome to donate items. Please see the accepted items list below.
