Field Day is a Fun End of Year Tradition started by Student Council last Year!

Field Day will be held on the last day of school, Wednesday, June 10th from 9:00-1:00. Last year’s Student Council laid a solid foundation and this year’s group has made it even better! Please find important details below:

  • Volunteers Needed: We can’t make this happen without station leaders! Please review volunteer options/sign-up for a station HERE.

  • Another way to contribute is to purchase mini donuts for your child’s class for the Fishing for Donuts station at Field Day. Please sign-up HERE

  • What to Wear/Pack:

    • Apply sunscreen that morning

    • Water Bottle + Snack

    • Students can choose how wet they want to get at the water station, so some students may want to wear a bathing suit under their clothes/wear quick dry clothing/bring a towel and/or bring a change of clothes.

A Note From Annie:

As we wrap up another school year, I feel grateful for the time I’ve spent supporting our students and families this year. We counselors wear a lot of different hats around here, so you never really know where you’ll find us and what we’ll be doing. Some days we’re holding space for something heavy that’s weighing on a student’s heart, on others we are grid searching the parking lot for a pom pom that fell off a reindeer headband so we can hot glue it back on in time for the winter concert, and then there are times when you’ll find us under a table helping a student work through big feelings (all real situations I found myself in this year)! Whatever the task, whatever the need, it’s an honor to walk through these formative years alongside your children and guide them toward discovering their best self. I am already dreaming of next year and the meaningful experiences to come. Until then, I am wishing you all a summer full of fun, adventure, and sunshine!

A note from Rachel:

It is hard to believe we are approaching the final few days of the school year! As my first year at Evergreen comes to a close, I want to take a moment to say what an absolute privilege and joy it has been to work with this incredible group of 5th - 8th graders. I am so grateful for the warmth and positivity they have added to my experience. Thank you to all of you for welcoming me and for your partnership throughout the year. I am already looking forward to next year. Wishing all of our families a safe and happy summer!

A Summertime Reminder

Last week, we talked about the balancing act of summer schedules. While a break from the rigid school-day grind is well-deserved, keeping a loose routine in place is the secret weapon for preserving all the academic, social, and behavioral progress your kids made this past year. Plus, a little structure now means a much smoother transition back to reality when autumn rolls around.

Remember, there is no "one-size-fits-all" magic formula. The best routine is a realistic one that actually works for your unique family.

Let’s finish this group project that we all started together, the group project that is the 2025-2026 school year!

We all have a lot to be proud of this year. Maintaining normalcy for our students while many of us are still getting grounded after last year’s event is no small feat. I hope that as you celebrate moving up and graduation ceremonies this year you are also taking time to celebrate yourselves, your families, and the various villages (including the village you’ve found here) that have helped see you through.

None of us can do what we do without you! From classroom and front office volunteers to event helpers, from gardeners to belayers, and of course our coaches! You all make Evergreen such a special place. We appreciate you!
