Jason Carter
Jason Carter is in his 25th year as an educator, returning to Evergreen after 4 years of working at NC State University designing and implementing professional development for teachers across the state. He is excited to return to Evergreen and work with students as the 7th grade math and science teacher. He previously worked at Evergreen for 17 years in a number of roles - teaching math, science, and as associate director. Along with this experience, Jason is a Fulbright Teacher for Global Classrooms honoree and a Science Ambassador for the National Center for Science Education. His work in the NCSE includes developing curriculum for teaching climate change along with delivering professional development on this curriculum. He enjoys weaving literature, games, engineering design, citizen science, and a global lens into science curriculum. Jason also has a strong passion for travel, having visited over 40 countries on 6 continents.
