Jason has been working in education for over 25 years, specializing in middle school math, science, and social studies. Before returning to 7th grade, he served as the 5-8 Principal of Evergren and worked at North Carolina State University, providing professional development and coaching for teachers across the state. Jason's favorite time of the school year is the 7th-grade physics unit where students construct model rollercoasters, complete with theming, storytelling, and a trip to Dollywood.
