Understanding Fundraising
Public tuition-free charter schools like Evergreen do not receive funding for facilities or utilities. This is why we rely on the generosity of our community to help meet the budgetary needs of the school.
The Evergreen Fund Fundraising & Resource Development
WHAT
Annual Giving Campaign
(The Evergreen Fund)
WHY
Supports general operational funding for current programs and services, such as enrichments and our facility costs.
This is our school’s top fundraising priority.
HOW
Last year 61% of funds came from Evergreen families; 39% from staff, alumni, grandparents & friends
Corporate & Private
Foundation Solicitations
Additional non-operational funding and resources to help Evergreen fund programs and initiatives toward our vision to serve more students, corporations and private foundations generally do not support annual operational funding.
Research, identify, cultivate, and solicit local businesses and grantors with a strong community presence and interest in supporting public/charter education. This donor cultivation cycle may take several years before the school receives funding and resources.
