Admissions for 2026-2027
Evergreen Community Charter School is a K-8, tuition free, public charter school whose admission is based on a lottery system.
The Lottery was drawn April 15th, 2026 at 9am. Check your email for results.

Any applications received after March 31 will be added to the waiting list in the order they are received.
Each year, we receive more lottery applications than our population of 444 students can support. This results in a waiting list for new students.

We are currently only scheduling tours for prospective 6th, 7th, and 8th graders for the 2026-2027 school year.
Don’t have a middle schooler? Follow us on social media to be notified when tours open up for all prospective students & grades.
We would love to welcome you to campus! Each tour is led by a team of Student Ambassadors.
Why Student Ambassadors?
Allowing our students to give the tours has multiple benefits. Primarily, it gives our students a real and meaningful service opportunity and allows families to witness the soft skills that an Evergreen education can provide (like presentation, organization, creative problem-solving, and leadership).

Students who are economically disadvantaged
In an effort to increase diversity in Evergreen’s student body, children who have economic disadvantages are offered enrollment priority. Income guidelines to qualify for this priority are included below. Evergreen’s Board of Directors will determine the number of open seats per grade level to be reserved in the next lottery for students whose families are economically disadvantaged.

Students who are economically disadvantaged will have enrollment priority in the lottery.
What documentation is needed to illustrate that I am economically disadvantaged?
Income Guidelines:
Economically Disadvantaged Security Priority
Please provide one of the following:
Active SNAP (EBT card)
Notice from HACA indicating Housing Authority resident or on the waiting list
Work First, North Carolina’s Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program participation verification
Paycheck stubs and any other income verification from the past six months and the most recent federal tax return
