Ethan was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. After studying Natural Resources Management at The Ohio State University, he moved south to work for the North Carolina Outward Bound School. It is here where Ethan honed his skills in outdoor and experiential education working as a field instructor and climbing specialist. After 5 years of full time field work, Ethan transitioned towards the realm of formal education by working at Evergreen in an Associate role in 5th Grade. This year he is excited to offer his knowledge in outdoor skills with the students at Evergreen. In addition to his work at Evergreen, Ethan is also the Program Manager of Asheville’s chapter of The American Adventure Service Corp (TAASC).

While Ethan doesn’t personally have dogs of his own, he is excited to be surrounded by them at Evergreen. You’ll often find Ethan playing outside whether it is on a bike, in a park playing spikeball, or off climbing!
