Quilt Raffle Tickets

The school’s third annual community quilt raffle has gotten off to a great start. A quilt piecing bee (a gathering of folks to cut and sew the top of the quilt) was held on Nov. 11 at the House of Fabrics on Merrimon Avenue. Evergreen parent Angie Heatwole, owner of House of Fabrics, generously donated shop space, sewing machines and fabric for the piecing bee. A big thank you goes out to Evergreen’s quilting team: Jill Huebner, Jeanne Huebner, Angie Heatwole, Naomi Palmer, Elaine Fox and Elfy Kornfeld. Tickets are available in the office for $3 each or $10 for 4. You can also get 4 for $10 right online!

Go Green with Solar Hot Water!

We've teamed with local business FLS Energy to offer you a chance to win a Solar Hot Water System - fully installed for the low ticket price of $25.  The system, which includes 2 - 4x8 panels and a hot water tank, is run in series with your existing hot water tank.  Depending on your solar orientation it can lower the portion of your electric bill associated with heating water by as much as 85%.  A cash prize of $5000 is being offered as an alternative to the solar hot water system.   
A minimum of 300 and no more than 1200 tickets will be sold.  The drawing will be held no later than May 31, 2008.  You may read the raffle procedures online. We will be selling tickets at the Home Show 14-16 March, so get yours here through PayPal or in the office while they last!
