*Mess-makin' in the Kitchen
Every day we'll get dirty in the kitchen, making food from around the world. Each child will have the opportunity to create their own edible masterpieces. Which, of course will get eaten and shared. Homemade items will include personal pizzas, all-fruit popsicles, & tacos, among other things. This class can accommodate any child-- with or without dietary restrictions. No need to pack lunch for your kiddo, we'll make a healthy one in our class each day! (Okay, the camp day is pretty long, so do send some back-up food...)
Instructor: Moriah Norris-Hale EverAfter Associate
Yoga is a wonderful way to open your child to the awareness of their place in the world. Each class will focus on a lesson or theme and will include creative yoga flow, breath work, games, stories, music, partner/group activities, visualization and relaxation. Through yoga, your child will develop strength, flexibility, self-confidence, balance, coordination, focus and discover the ability to feel calm. Ms. Brandon's playful, gentle style allows children to find a personal connection to their yoga practice.

Garden Chef Cook Off Challenge
Get ready for the real-life version of the popular kid cook-off shows, Asheville style: local, fresh and delicious. This session is for the kid who loves to play with foods and flavors and enjoys a little competition. We'll spend the first couple of days exploring basic techniques for cooking (saute, roast, steam, etc) and preparing (dice, slice, cube, etc), as well as explore the vegetables and herbs we have available in our garden. We will take a visit to a local restaurant to learn from an expert chef about how to they use local, fresh ingredients to prepare their menus. On Friday, students will participate in THE GARDEN CHEF COOK OFF CHALLENGE. Kids will work in teams to use whatever they want to harvest from the garden and the "mystery basket" of supplemental ingredients to prepare a variety of dishes for our panel of judges. Parents and siblings are welcome to join us for the competition and lunchtime feast!
