Marni joined the Evergreen family during its first year of operation. She has fully enjoyed seeing the Evergreen community grow stronger over the years. Although she has experience teaching students from 4th grade through 8th grade, she currently teaches 6th grade Math and Science and absolutely loves it. She is Nationally Board Certified and is currently earning her Masters Degree in Differentiation. She lives with her husband Jeff and their two dogs and is active in their West Asheville Burton Street Community.

Melissa is originally from Connecticut and attended Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana to study Anthropology and Sociology. After graduating in 2004, Melissa moved to Boston before taking a "gap year" to travel to Fiji, New Zealand, Australia, Mexico and the Caribbean. After returning to the States, Melissa moved to Cincinnati and worked as an AmeriCorps volunteer for a non-profit organization to assist "at risk" youth. Melissa has also worked as a health educator for Planned Parenthood and taught HIV prevention classes for high risk populations at large public schools, juvenile detention centers and substance abuse treatment centers. Melissa found her new home in Asheville in 2008 and worked as a youth leader for the YMCA and at Evergreen in the EverAfter program and as a substitute teacher.
In 2010, Melissa completed her Master of Arts in Teaching at UNC Chapel Hill and immediately moved back to the mountains. She has spent the past two years working at Evergreen as an associate teacher in 5th and 3rd grade. This year, she is lead teaching 6th grade this year while Mike Sule is on sabbatical. In her spare time, Melissa enjoys hiking, riding her bike, doing craft projects and hanging out with her adorable dog, Gus.

Mike is a native of Pittsburgh and a huge Steelers fan. He loves live music, theatre, good reading, and getting out on his bike. His mother calls him Michael.
