At Evergreen, art is taught by integrating art projects with learning expeditions. Students may study a specific artist or art movement that relates to an expedition. They might need to learn a specific art technique of an art medium to show their understanding of expedition content. With any art project, I always touch on Principles of Design, and to give them an understanding of basic art vocabulary: line, shape, color, texture, form.
