Robin is from Atlanta. Her work experience is as varied as the mountains are high. She has worked as an EKG technician, video store manager, jewelry representative, stocker at Bargain Max and now at Evergreen! Robin has been married for more than 25 years and has five wonderful children and two grandchildren.

Bob Oakes has worked in service to children since 1979 including management positions in residential treatment centers and owning and operating a child care center with his wife Ann. Bob has a Masters in Human Services Administration from Antioch/New England College.
Bob has held associate teacher positions at Evergreen in 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades and, combining his love of music and children, he has been a children's musician, music teacher and guitar teacher. Bob has four children and moved from Connecticut to North Carolina in 2000.

Barb Truesdell is originally from Texas but has made Asheville her home for close to 10 years. She has a degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas. Her work experience includes payroll, management, customer service, accounts payable and receivable, sales, and merchandising.
In her spare time she enjoys reading, camping with her family, ballroom dancing with her husband (Rod) and coloring in coloring books. In addition, she is the “new mascot” at McCormick Field, Chelsea Bear. Be sure to come by the office and introduce yourself -- she loves meeting new people.

Ann received a BA degree in Human Services from New Hampshire College and a Master's degree in Human Services Administration from Antioch New England Graduate School. She co-owned a child care center with her husband, Bob Oakes for 17 years.
She was the receptionist at Evergreen CCS from 2005-2006 until she purchased Curves of Black Mountain, a women's fitness center which she continues to own and manage. She is the mother of two daughters, step-mother to 2 adult children and she has 2 grandchildren. During her free time she enjoys reading, singing, hiking and camping.

David has lived in Western North Carolina since 1987 and has a wife and two children. Hobbies include spending time with his family, working in his flower and vegetable gardens, and working on computers.

Originally from Oak Ridge, Tenn., Jean went to Indiana University for degrees in political science and journalism, then received a Master's in Public Administration from Auburn University.
She was very briefly a city manager for a small town in Tennessee, but has spent most of her time working for newspapers and more recently, in book editing and newsletter design. She lives at Westwood Cohousing Community with her husband, classical musician Vance Reese, and their son, Jonathan, who has attended Evergreen since the second day of kindergarten (the waiting list came through for him!)

Beth has lived in Asheville since 1995 when she moved here with her job as a Project Leader. Beth has spent the last 14 years raising her three children and working part-time for a small internet start-up company in Weaverville, until last year when she took a break to spend more time with her kids and volunteer at the school.
Now she works mornings at the Asheville JCC and afternoons at Evergreen as the Parent Network Coordinator and CAFE Coordinator. She has one graduate of Evergreen now at Asheville High and a son in 6th and another daughter in 4th at Evergreen. In her spare time she likes to cook, hike, run, read and spend time with her family.
