Theresa has a teaching license in middle grades education and in K-6, and a BA from the College of Wooster. She has worked as a program naturalist in Illinois and brings to Evergreen great experience in hiking, science, and working with children.

Melanie earned her B.S. in elementary education (with a minor in photography) from Appalachian State University in 1993. Since that time, she has worked at an independent school as an assistant teacher and lead teacher in grades one and three, served as a counselor and the educational coordinator at Camp Woodson, and most recently, worked as a pastry chef at West End Bakery.

Jeannie Curtis is from Northern Virginia, but most recently moved to Asheville from San Francisco. She has a BS and an MEd in Elementary Education.  Prior to working at Evergreen, she tutored at Vance Elementary in West Asheville for a year and taught 5th grade for several years in the Bay Area.  Jeannie is passionate about human development and teaching, and also enjoys cheese, wine, coffee, cooking, eating, doing crafts, and hanging out with her husband.

Jennipher has a B.S. in Nature/Culture Studies from Montana State University and is working on a M.A. in Specific Learning Differences from London Metropolitan University via the Dyslexia Association of Singapore. Her teaching experience includes being a Biology Lab instructor at a community college, a substitute teacher in preschool through 12th grade in public and private schools, a special needs teacher, and an educational therapist. She has also volunteered extensively at her children’s schools, including Evergreen. A New Orleans native, Jennipher moved to Asheville with her husband and two children in 2006, then spent two years in Singapore before returning to Asheville in 2011. Jennipher enjoys outdoor adventure, gardening, creative writing, and traveling.
